A call to a day of National Prayer
For the Freedom, Peace & Prosperity of our nation and our world!
I am calling New Zealand to an urgent day of National Prayer tomorrow Saturday, 26th February 2022.
Let’s join together as Christians and other faiths, as we pray for our nation, and our world’s freedom, peace and prosperity.
Worldwide, another war is raging as we’ve seen peace talks break down and Russia now invading Ukraine. The rest of the world now reels and contemplates what their part will be in all of this. Globally this invasion is causing significant unrest, including across stock markets. Has the USA lost its military prowess under the current president? Many are also fearful of what China’s part will be in all of this.
Back on the homefront, here in New Zealand, we are a country in the middle of change, there are mounting frustrations as this government and officials refuse to listen to the protestors and proactively engage in meaningful discussions.
The pressure of mandates on the public is ever-increasing as the country is eager to learn to live with Covid-19, especially as they watch with longing as other countries lift their restrictions. The news that Queensland is lifting all mandates and restrictions on the 4th March 2022, makes Kiwis particularly envious of our Gold Coast cuzzies.
Every which way we turn, the world is freshly attempting to recover from this pandemic.
Jesus warned that there would be wars and pandemics...
Matthew 24:6-8 “And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences (pandemics), and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Yet, it’s not the end yet. Despite the beginning of sorrows, Jesus says, “Peace I give you!” He gives us peace in the middle of the storms of life. And despite whatever the enemy throws at us...our God will never forsake us.
So tomorrow, if every family could find 5 minutes to pray for the peace and wellbeing of our country at a time suitable to them tomorrow, it will make a difference across the nation, and the world.
I’d also like to encourage all protest groups across New Zealand tomorrow to have a 5-minute prayer too for the freedom, peace and prosperity of NZ followed by the singing of the National Anthem...”God Defend NZ.”

“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
